ABOUT ME
Hill Mannis (CPDT-KA), founder of Canine Communications, is a multi-certified dog trainer. After starting out as a teaching assistant and tutor in New York City, he moved to Bend, Oregon (Dog Town, USA) to immerse himself in dog training. There, he became a PetSmart Accredited Dog Trainer and a year later became nationally certified by the Council of Professional Dog Trainers.
After moving back to New York, Hill founded Canine Communications with the goal of bringing city-dwellers and their dogs closer using positive reinforcement and two-way communication. Combining his teaching skills with his knowledge and passion for dogs, he specializes in equipping owners with the skills needed to navigate the bustle of NYC with their dogs as an effective and confident pair. With these goals in mind, Hill specializes in offering private, breed-appropriate, and science-based training and enrichment for owners and dogs.

Prospective Owners Orientation: how to pick the right dog, how to set up your home and schedule, essential products
Puppy Orientation: basic skills, potty training, home set up, and essential products
Leash Training: intensive training to help owners enjoy walking their dogs
Obedience Training: from practical skills like sit, down, and stay to fun tricks like shake, retrieve, and roll over
Enrichment: breed and age-appropriate activities designed to give your dog a mind and body workout
Reactivity and Desensitizing: helping dogs stay calm and collected around other dogs and in busy urban settings
